WD2500

Hi all,
just wondering if anyone has any ideas with an issue i have.
i recieved a Lacie external RAID array 1TB with 4 drives of the above,
all the drives are identical WD2500JB-00GVA0
date 22 Nov 04
DCM HSBHCTJAA
the external casing shorted and kile done drive by completely frying a good portion of the board.
i thought as all drives are identical i can do a swap from one board to another, after the board swap the drive just clicks, however upon close listening the drive spins up, clicks, slows down, spins up again and repeats the process.
on the PC3000 i cant id the drive, i am still very new to the PC3000,
i suspect this may be a head issue judging by the way the other components are fried,
my question is being identical drives can i just do a board swap or will i need to do anything else, when i restored the donor board to the donor drive the drive still functions correctly and identifes under windows and pc3000.

Thank you for all your help
