Seagate Momentus 5400.2 100GB recovery

December 19th, 2007, 14:00

This drive is over my head. Anyone interested in doing a recovery for me?
Drive unrecognized by BIOS and MHDD. Drive clicks 4 times and loops. From a G4 MAC Powerbook.

It's unlikely, based on my findings - but is this firmware 7.01?

Probably bad heads or a little physical damage. Don't know how much you want to spend on it? We offer a no fix no fee policy and I have parts already in house for that model. Feel free to give us a call.

We specialize in Macs and see way too many of the Momentus series. Four clicks usually signals head failure. Even if heads are replaced sometimes data is corrupted.
