Anyone Purchased SalvationData for Maxtor?

I'm really curious about the "re-defining the Primary Head" feature on Maxtor drives. Is this a software solution such as a special loader or a modification of the rom? Thanks.

It is a software solution, primary head can be redefined if thts damaged the rom requires modification too after head redefining.
