Hello All

I change the PCB with the same series, the P/N is same but No of PCB :702 EA1 9D16X S/N 393935222835 PAZXX and No in HDA ALA5 0x20 but the problem is the same, HD is not detect in BIOS because the PCB is not compatible. Is the Quantum have the ROM ? Can I change the IC Lucent Quantum MS241C3 34 from bad PCB to good PCB ?
Thanks for your help

You need a donor with matching numbers ALA5 0X10.
That should solve your problem.

I've never had a problem with PCB incompatibility in these quantum drives, some f/w issues sometimes and the occasional bad head

I can only confirm this.
There is probably some other problem with that drive.
what does it do with the original pcb? what is the problem with the original PCB?
