Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hi,
Anyone has an idea where the parameters for this drive are stored ?
The Marvell chip is cooked, so i hope it is not in that one.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

Hi Dobre,
Let's think a bit...
IC6 seems to be Motor Combo,
IC21 must be Buffer RAM,
IC26 seems to be a DC-DC converter,
As I don't see any other IC, I am afraid the ROM code is in the Marvel.....

However I am almost sure there's a copy on the surface, but I haven't have time to research this matter and how to load this code into a new PCB....
so I don't have a solution for this thing at the moment.
sorry,
pepe

Hi Helpdisk,
As soon as i put power on it the pcb draws some amps and the Marvell Chip gets really really hot.
