WD1600JS-60MHB1 problem

January 31st, 2008, 14:52

Dears,

I have a problem with WD1600JS-60MHB1.
When I plug it in I hear the sound of starting platters. Then I hear the positioning system is starting up. After it I can hear 3 knocks and then platters stops. All procedure lasts about 5 sec.
PC3000 detects it as: WDC ROM MODEL HAWK, and shows 7,46 as capacity.
Can you help me to understand what is going on and support to get to my data, please?
I would be appreciated for any suggestions and help.

Regards,
Rafal
