An easy way for test head for calypso hdd of maxtor

February 21st, 2008, 12:00

As we known when a maxtor hdd spin up with noise maybe firmware or head damage, sometimes distinguish them is hardly so i made some loaders for every head of calypso hdd. you can use those loaders load every head, if hdd show ready then "maybe" this head is good one. but this is an easy way not a final way.
more times we have to change head in clean room for check good or not. :)
files link: http://files.hddguru.com/download/PC-30 ... %20LDR.rar
files contain 6 loaders(head 0-5) for calypso with check sum 3619.
good luck
