Is there a easy way to change Seagate ST3160212A Barracuda 7200.9 Drive ID, i.e., from Seagate ST3160212A to Seagate ST12345678
If so, what tool is needed? Thanks for advanced.

Rameez, thanks for the information. I've read through the article name "seagate diagnostic command" several times and still can't figure out what command can be used to change the drive ID. Could you please point me to the right direction? Much appreciate it

On level T type :
T>F
Setstuff>ASCI1B53.........
after ASCI1B type hexadecimal values of the word u want to type .
like 5354 make ST .
