Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hi guys!
Ok, I have a SC101 here with a failed mirror. This unit is using some crap file system that shifts all bytes since there is a problem with big and little endian methods of storing stuff in computer memory. This means that if you read the data directly fro the drive all bytes are shifted around and you can't read one single piece of data. There are two companies claiming that they can recover data from those (apex and retro) so there may be a way..
Anyone knows of a method? Please share if you know!

Hybris,
I can recover from these - never ever failed to do so - but given that it took me three months to develop the procedure, I'm not willing to share.
Do some work with it - I can reassure you that there is a method, but it takes time to research and a lot of trial and error.
Not what you want to hear - sorry.
But it can be done.
