What is the best way to safely remove a Small 8 pin NVRAM EEPROM and solder it to the new board? Tips from veterans appreciated!

Use a hot air station or Chip Quick:

For that IC a standard soldering station and a tweezer is enough.

Pepe,

Not everyone has your soldering skills or experience . . . . ;-)

If the OP had to ask the question, it is safe to assume that he doesn't have much experience with comparable tasks. It is easy for a newbie to break a leg off, cook the chip, etc. etc.

Chip Quik provides a margin of safety that is appropriate under the circumstances.

use the hot station with low temprature bcz high temprature could damage the nvram .
