Samsung problems

Hello, hdd gurus´s

This is alberto, asking for u help, now arrived Samsung SP0411N 40GB nOT knock, even motor start on, and u can heard the typical recalibration sound on samsung, but its BSY, , on terminal shows the

ENG> SRV> BD thats OK but after some seconds begin´s to show

LED 56 0000 all the time but this is not on samsung manual , does anyone know what does it meaning, ? i tried to exchange pcb, and not solve problem, after exchanged PCB, the typical sound, recalibration, motor stop inmediatly casued by mismatching ROM information and SA information, then LED 5B 0000

Try Soft reset, if it becomes ready after that - enter utility and check modules.

try pcb with other FW version, it should halt on ovly mismatch and u should be able to check sa surface after a soft reset.

I have many hdd with pcb mismatch can i repair those hdd with H/T test , matching the P/N like 0611 .

Now i can read SA and tracks, doing a HS, even i can get sector LBA 0 but on another´s sectors show AMNF, and on the last cylinder, the same im think this is because need to write Primary Defect List on Donnor ,regenerate translator then did the HS, i will keep u informated

Probably you are doing with wrong ROM PCB.
1 it could be ROM fault on original Hard Disk
2 Try with another PCB with Same (main) IC.

Hello friends

After did HS can get SA modules then i wrote translator modules , and defect list modules modules on donnor and did again the HS :recalibration OK, i can get the LBA 0, ont he sector edit i can see the MBR CODE "33 C0.... partition table 80 01 .... and the boot signature 55 AA. but when i tried to get another, its not possible, show error , even on the end of tracks, on the first , middle etc, DF i tried exchanging the PCB without exchange ROM , and the result its LED 5B , im thinkin on did the platter swap well on this case one head , its the best im think

Did u checked the ROM of orginal Hard disk and the Rom of HS hard disk.

Now unsoldered the ROM and soldered on Donnor PCB, after that start on , and reach DRDY DSC, when i tried to did the image, lost the readiness, turn off and turn on again, and on terminal stay showing

Im going to check the platter surface from the another side, to check if are scratch or some like this
