Dear all,
I have Maxtor HDD, and its Model: Maxtor ARES C64K, Firmware: VAM51JJZ
Capacity: 38.29GB, Now It's crashed, Only BIOS can detect.

When BIOS show the name of HDD in Primary Master then "Maxtor" is still but ARES C64K is blinking. But windows can't detect. I've many important official DATA in that HDD. Pls help me out.

Hi,

U are facing a FW related problem, there's no freeware solution for this. I suggest to take it to a local DR company, especialy if data is critical. Yes, they will charge U some $$$, but without the tools and the knowledge it is sure U mess it up even more.

regards,
pepe
