Hi friends
I have my primary Hard drive failed to response all of a sudden..the Model is: WE4000 40GB.
whenever I plugged in,it sounds like "tick tick tick" sounds funny but I cannot make it recognized in the system itself so?
I brought it to my hardware technician but he said that the PCB (circuit) has been dead and I can't find it anywhere.
Please help me,If I can recover my data from that HDD because I really need that data.
any kind of software or anything if anybody knows, please let me know.
Any help would be really grateful and appreciated.
Thank you
Regards

does the drive spin while you hear that "tick tick tick" sound? there is no software that will help you because drive simply is not even loading and card has nothing to do with your problem most likely either. send it to professional would be your best bet, trying to recover it yourself might cause further damages and complications.

Thanks man for your response.
No, the drive does not spin while ticking but now there is one more thing happening..the drive is not even take a breath (not ticking anymore)...when I plug in and push the pc on while taking HDD into my hand ..I feel no life in the HDD???
I already took it to the professional but he can't help it either.
thanks

You should take it to a Data recovery pro.
They would be able to help you.
I would also suggest to find it on this forum.
Many of us could help you.

Solutions are there but its a job for a professional. Stop trying to power it up with out knowing what to do, as you already proved to yourself by killing electronics on the drive, you are only making it worst.

You need to at least change the PCB.
Maybe you can do yourself, and swap the ROM chip.
But if u need data, take to a pro.
