Wish all Fine.
I am new with Hitachi HD.
As far as I know NVRAM is used in Hitachi PCB.
is there All PCB included NVRAM of Hitachi? or few of model left traditional technology?
I am facing problem with HDT722516DLA380. (DLA3 Series)
No power to the PCB.
If I replace the PCB with a identical one, then I need to change the NVRAM to the good pcb must.
My question: where is the NVRAM located for the HDD? as i need to replace with the identical one. (if the hdd pcb include NVRAM)
As far as I know for Hitachi HD, only DLA3 series hd pcb could be used to replace the pcb. capacity does not matter, or other specification does not matter. am I right?
Thanks
RAHAD.

Hi
NVRAM is a 93C76 flash memory. the ROM version of the donor must match the patient to get a working PCB after swapping NVRAM. Drive family must match, size does not matter.

Thanks pepe for ur information.
As far as I know NVRAM is 8 PIN CHIP into the Hitachi HD. I found 2 8 Pin CHIP at the specified model (HDT722516DLA380).
1 is at Left Middle Position and another is down middle position at the HD.
Written at CHIP1: RL76
5V77W
Written at another Chip: PMC
25LV547E
0550
WHICH ONE IS THE NVRAM?
THANK YOU

Hi,
RL76.
the other is the ROM. u might need to swap that one too if the drive doesn't spin up after NVRAM swapping.

Thanx PEPE for ur information again.
I will go ahead with more posting after swapping the NVRAM.
Now I will search for a Identical HDD in the market.
I think DLA3 Matching is enough for the HDD.
if needed the PCB: F 0A30363 01
Thanks
