Materials for cleaning platters, heads and packing air tight the HDD...

Car Wax works great on platters. Make sure you buff them until they shine! Heads can be cleaned with a piece of 8-track tape cleaner. Even the liquid that cleans record needles works good, cause it's all the same technology. When done, pack in a vacuum bag, and suck out all the air.
I'm in another mood. If you try any of these suggestions, you'll be unhappy. Mind if I ask some questions?
Are you talking about a specific drive, or do you plan to need these items all the time?
What are you cleaning off the platters?
What are you cleaning off the heads?
If you have the drive open, and then close it back up, isn't that 'packing air tight the HDD'?
If not, what are you trying to do?

Do you mean what to do if you're in the middle of taking the drive apart?
