Do you have Norton GoBack, or some similiar utility installed?
Do you have 2 drives in your system? If so, are you SURE you did the right drive?
Have you removed all partitons?
What are you trying to accomplish?

Based on your explaination, its being tough to understand what u wanaa say and what u wanna do with the hdd.
It is better explain about the problem step by step and say openly what do u want to do with the hdd?

Sure it is not so HDD formats of any way, you exclude the partition it returns to normal, I tried deleting the partition with various programs partition magic, I wrote zeros with zero fill, already used winhex among other hdd and returned to its original state wheel The XP normally the more you can not erase the data on the HDD, it was not installed any type Goback program among others

Most probably I could guess the problem. you r deleting your partition and the after restart u see again partitions and datas are at last state.

Its a fw problem. ur operated information is not being stored permanently into the hdd.
few of mod# might corrupt or missing. thats the solution as i can understand having ur information.
