Hard Drive Recovery

Hey Guys,
I have used the HDD Wipe to wipe all of the data from my hard drive, but now I need to know how to get it back up and running. I cant boot anything on it. I am assuming that I need to rewrite the MBR. Please some one guid me what I need to do.

Ok, let me explain more in detail.
I used the low format procedure to erase all of the data from the hard drive. I am at the stage that BIOS can’t detect the hard drive. I need to know is there any tools I can use to re write the MBR and perhaps firmware to have the BIoS recognize the HDD.

in this case the drive probably suffers of some problems, I suppose it ruined some mods in the FW due to errorneous writing.
To repair U would need some expensive tools (too expensive to repair one single drive) so since the data is not important and not on the disk anymore, U can discard the drive and buy a new one.

never use low format procedure it will more likely damaged the drive

your likely damaged the service file
which needs repairing now.

i agree with you completely. if the bios can see a correct disk you still can image the data to a new one by using some tools such as power data extraction . it means you can save your data.

but now, the bios can't see your disk, there may be some wrong about FW model. if you want to recovery your data, then you must repair your disk as frist step.

if the data is not important to you, you can drop them. buy a new hard disk

Hey Everyone,
First of all, I want to thank everyone for the help, they have provided. I was able to have the Drive detected and running by using a tool from Seagate. I have problem now to run the fdisk command on the drive. Also, when I try to use any bootable OS to run, it reads it but no further action happens. Any Idea what could be the issue?! The drive FW and MBR are fine and the drive is healthy.

Hello mattfh ,

So long as the drive can be read, you don't need plate-level operation with professional tools (SalvationDATA Doctor or PC 3000 ) but you can try to use R stodio, Winhex or FinalDATA to do the recovery.

What exactly is final data, and r stuido able to do when a disk has been low level formatted? I hear it's excellent for recovering zero's.

No Software can recover data after low level format...
In theory, after low level format all sectors are written to zero. how can u expect to get back data?

Boot your os install disk and format there.
