Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hi guys!
I posted a question about a specific Lacie model earlier but my problems apply to all raided Lacie Ethernet enclosures. I wonder if anyone successfully recovered data from one of those ethernet things and how you did it. The driver are physically 100% OK. I know the file system is XFS but I can't seem to get the RAID parameters right however I try. Is there an offset or something like that?
I am getting really frustrated over here!
Btw, thanx for your time if you read this far

Which model is it? How many drives?
Have you checked Winhex and RAID reconstructor? You should have no problem rebuilding it with either, then use XFS to extract the data from the image.

I have had three models lately. The latest is a 2 TB, 4x500 GB model. Raid recontructor cant find anything since it doesnt support XFS. WinHEX is ok I guess but it doesnt support XFS either. I use UFS explorer now... I have figured out that there is an offset but stripe size/offset is a bit unclear

It's always nice if you have a spare chassis in stock. The last 2 TB model I had didn't have any physical drive issues. The board in the unit was not supplying enough power to the drives, so I powered all drives using an external source and it worked perfectly.
I had another one recently, but I can't remember what the stripe size was, but I'm nearly sure it was 256.
