Hi
I got some Samsung hdd showing me the following error in Terminal:
PhsLd Fail P4: +00080
SP R
PhsLd Fail P4: +00080
SP R
SP Phase
Strt(C4A)Err
PhsLd Fail P4: +00080
SP R
....
Somehow it sounds like a problem with the Spindle Motor but i am unsure
How to interpret the output ?
Thanks

Do motor spin up? Need the drive or data? If no data needed try h/t then b/i then rewrite m/c. At h/t level everything will be clear-but you'll lose every data.

Hi
Actually it doesnt seem to spin up.
If i listen very closely i hear something like
tacktacktacktack-pause-tacktacktacktack-pause etc. (after the tenth time i stopped listening and turned off).
