Very, very much doubt the ROM is bad.

Anyway the ROM's for MHT and above are pretty much unique I believe.

More like head failure.

At the intialize the utility it said the Rom is bad. So First I would like to check by writing rom.

Thanks,

thinclient,

Well, wrong ROM for MHT can cause some clicking, but unlikely.

ROM for MHT is very unique, which means each drive has its own ROM.

Transporting ROM from one MHT to any other MHT will not work,
even if Model No, FW and all parameters match.

So to put it simply - you fuxxed if you don't have original ROM.

btw. what program you use which reports "corrupted ROM" ?

Do you mean "ROM reading is not implemented in this utility...... Started using defaults"??? (or something like that)

This does not mean the ROM is bad.

My moneys' on the heads :-)
