the first 2 numbers in the latter section do not make a difference, 88LRA0 and 00LRAO should be compatible

It's not the 88 vs 22 that's the issue, this number only indicates who the drive is made for (Retail WD, Dell, whoever).
The issue is the adaptives in the ROM. You may get lucky by finding ROM from a drive with the same DCM, I had a similar case but fortunately the case was with a RAID 0 set, so I was lucky enough to get a perfect match and the good PCB worked fine on both drives.

Even the same DCM doesn't guarantee that the adaptives will match.
I had some cases where a pcb from exact the same drive (same MDl and DCM) didn't work till i replaced the eeprom.

Sometimes in DR you just have to have a complete disregard for any logic

Very true, I just got lucky. The two drives were out of the same box and more or less consecutively serial numbered.

Yes. I'm not lucky this time. ROM Burned

I have 2 WDC drive here in my stock
it is : WD800BD-22MRA1 / DSBANTJEH / / 18 NOV 2007
and WD800BD-22MRA1 / DBCHNTJCH // 07 OCT 2007
This 2 WD Drive work compatible with Both PCB.
Both got same Model and Different DCM with production date differ One month more.
and Both PCB work in each drive as well...
At Least I need to give a test with the same Model ROM in My defective Drive.
I still hope somebody can send to me the same Model ROM..
Thanks for everybody command and help
