Hello Gurus

Any of you have been to recover any hard drive cryped by hardware (by hd hardware from "FinallySecure" form "SECUDE International AG").

I am reading about some disks with this capabylities and i think this kind of HD dificults more the work of HDgurus.

tecnical espefifications of the HDs cripted bu hardware:
AES encriptation
5.400 rpm
2,5"
Ultra ATA/100 y Serial ATA
Caché de 8 MB

What do do you think?

Hi,
With no key you can probably work on the decryption for a hundred years and still no joy....sad but true

What is the problem with the HDD??

I've recovered a lot of encrypted HDD's with physical failures. You need to repair the failed drive and image to a new disk (typically chopping the LBA on the image drive to match the original). Then insert the image drive into the system and it SHOULD boot.

If you can provide more information about the problem, i'm sure you'll get more help.
