Hi,

I've a Samsung drive which is not detecting by BIOS, and its clicking.-------> PATIENT

Model: SP0802N
P/N: 0820J1DY337485
P/V: FA
Rev.D
2005.03
PCB: PACDY3M6A45502 (Sticker on PCB)
Paladin - Rev04 - 2M (Printed on PCB)
Controller IC (Big M): 88i6522-LG01
FH44111.2

I've another Samsing SPO802N drive which is detected by BIOS & working.---> DONOR

Model: SP0802N
P/N: 0904J2FXC07578
P/V: MA
Rev.D
2004.12
PCB: PACDXCJ5A40713 (Sticker on PCB)
paladin - Rev04 - 2M (Printed on PCB)
Controller IC (Big M): 88i6522-LG01
WB50720A.1

Are these PCBs are compatible with each other for swapping?
The Patient drive with the donor PCB, clicking.
and the Donor(good one) with the patient PCB also clicking.

Is there anything i should do other than swapping the PCB ?

Thanks,
RDS.

The most common problems are MHA, and some times SA, but u check on first if there are not head crash on the land zone over surface

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

My question is if the problem is with the Patient drive's MHA or SA, then the patient drive's PCBA should work fine with my donor drive. Right?

Thanks,
RDS.

Check Rom on both pcbs like TKxxx-yy, then terminal log will make everything clear about the problem. Does a soft reset stop clicking or is stuck bsy? Try sending a soft reset via Ata.
