Rxx266,

Can you please post a screenshot? Also the SMART values.

I did not understand what does not work. Do you have bad sectors or weak sectors?

Please post SMART screenshot. You can see SMART values in hddscan.

Maybe your hard disk reallocation table is full. That is why it is showing bad sectors. Otherwise, this drive looks good. In modern drives, bad sector remapping is done automatically, you should not see bad sectors in windows (unless your bad sector allocation table is full).

What is MHDD showing in surface scan?

MHDD, it is the same, diagostic, that hddscan, but the difference now, that I do, what do you say me before, Scan + Remap ON. Scan + Erase Delays ON. now iam using again, hdd regenerator I think, it is working, on the screen, say: 4 sector repaired. I dont know, I hope have got good luck. Later i give you the information.

now iam interested, that you saying:

Syncelery, I don´t know that problem can you to explain, I have an example about my disk, because the other who have the problem it is running, hdd regenerator sorry. would you be so kind as to explain with my hdd, bye brother

This all looks good to me.

I don't know how you can get bad sectors on windows in this scenario. Maybe pros can help.

Please run Western Digital Data Lifegard Diagnostics and choose WRITE ZEROS (all data will be gone, if you still have anything on this drive). Then check your SMART values again.

Well, iam very confused, i try with hdd regenerator, i can´t see bad sectors, in combination vmware (virtual machine) configured for use physical drive. there is not. And after running, hddscan,I can see again bad sectors. the ask is ¿why? I dont understand.

I try, with vmware mhdd dont work, just can use, sata cdrom and, 8mb virtual memory as a drive. I dont have time to repeat the process with mhdd but I give you the information for more detail. bye brother, I hope that you can help me =) ;)

Re: Hi, guys, i have an asking about mhdd

Because hddreg doesn't do the job. True error remapping can only be accomplished working with the error lists or using internal drive specialized functions, and when possible, not in case of weak heads, for example.

vmware, hdd regenerator, windows ??? What are you doing?

hdd regenerator is snakeoil (anyone feel free to counter this).

Go to DOS (DOS... no virtual machine, no windows command promp -- PURE DOS) and run Western Digital Data Lifegard Diagnostics and choose QUICK TEST. If all is good, then choose WRITE ZEROS. Then scan with MHDD (in DOS) and then check your SMART values.

Stop wasting your time with anything in windows at this point. First find out what the real problem is.

Your Reallocation Event Count is 6... your Reallocation Sector Count is 0. This means drive found some weak sectors and marked them pending. But later it was able to successfully recover these sectors (by reading or writing them). Reallocation Event Count records both successful and unsuccessful tries. That is why it is 6.

Your ULTRA DMA CRC Errors are increasing. Change your CABLE.

No need to take picture. Press F10 when SCAN finished. mhdd will save the screen to text log file: scrshot.log

Just paste that here.
