Hi. I am very new in this work. I'm starting from little to retrieve data.
Now i need to know what is best method to begin work of recovery.

1) Clone hard-disk of client hard-disk empty
2) Create image of hard-disk of client in space on the hard-disk any?

I read something ain lap on this forum. Many people prefer cloning.
But suggest to clean always good with software before you begin.
Give me a help. Thanks

It more or less depends on what tools you are going to use to do either the imaging or cloning and then how that is going to work when you want to extract the data.

There are advantages and disadvantages for both.
Deciding which one works best is a matter of looking at the overall recovery process and the tools to complete it from one end to another.

I am using a few days PC-3000 and dataextractor.
Date extractor has the possibility both to clone that make image.
I worked some time in the past with r-studio and i've always done image of the hard-disk with discrete results.

Non c'e' "un" metodo e molto dipende caso per caso dalle condizioni del drive.

There's "no 1" method , everything depends on each case on drive conditions.
