I've got a question.

I have an incoming Seagate 888GB Sata disk (ST9888430AS) 2.5".
Heads stuck on platter.

Anyone certain that these disks rotate the same way as the others?
I have never played with these before and i don't want to do anything stupid..

i dont see a difference =) If the heads are on the right of the center u apply the rotation counterclockwise and if the heads are on the left - clockwise =)

Be careful that heads are not damaged, as if you free heads and power it up you may damage platters. They may look fine but be careful.

Thanks for the responses guys, i moved heads to ramp and examined with magnifying glass, they looked fine.
I powered up the drive and voila! 98% of data cloned (approx. 400GB), disk made some worrying clicks during copy, but all went well :)
