Hello Gurus. Can anyone please help me out of the issue. I saw many posts here about the ES.2 busy issue and tried the methods mentioned, including shorting the read channel, with no luck. It just gave me:
LED: 000000CC FADDR: 0024AFF

Ctrl + z does not work in terminal;

PC3000 busy solution gave me: Error detecting HDD terminal baud rate.

Some body here successfully broke the loop by sending a signal to the write channel. How?

The PC3K manual shows you what 2 points to short for the read channel.

Thank you, Nick_CT. I tried shorting the points at various time points. It did not work.

As it spins up short the points and keep them shorted, it should click about 11 times then spin down and come ready. Well that's on a 7200.11 I was working on yesterday anyway.

Yes, it always works with 7200.11. Seems ES.2 is a different story.

It's probably a timing issue with the shorting, persevere and you'll get there!

I always have so far!

I think I did it close to 20 times yesterday with that damn 7200.11...it's the worst when you're almost there and then lose grip of the shorting pin :lol:
