U12 is between the MCU and the edge connector. Unfortunately, your board doesn't have a flash memory at this location. This means that the drive's "adaptive" data are internal to the Marvell MCU.
You could ask your board suppliers if they will transfer the "ROM" or firmware from your original PCB to a replacement board. Some (eg
http://www.hdd-parts.com) will charge US$10 for this service, if they are capable of doing so. Others (eg
http://www.donordrives.com) will charge US$75 - $95. There is also one supplier who is a member of this forum who has indicated that he offers this service at no additional cost.
