WD 80 Dead - Burnt Chip

Hi Guys,
I have been perusing this forum for a short while and really like what I see, good solid people trying to help out.
A customer of mine brought in a dead drive, tested, and Yep, dead drive. So I remove the PCB and find a burnt chip on the PCB.
Question is, if I find the EXACT controller will this drive..... spring to life!?!
