Toshiba canvio 2tb 2,5' usb 3.0 SERIOUS PROBLEM

Hi, I've a toshiba canvio 2tb 2,5' usb 3.0.

It doesn't work. I try to erase partition, all is ok. I try to format, stop after some minutes with "impossible to format" from windows xp/7/ manage disk/partition manager.
Toshiba doesn't provide tool for this hd.

If I try to create and format a partition with around 19gb, all is ok: partitioned and formatted.
Biggest partition is impossible.
HD Tune Pro says there are some bad sector. Error check stop after 19gb.

I try hdd low level format, and it stop at sector 39,264,128. All is ok until that sector, after led on hard disk stop, tool freeze.

All the test with usb 2.0.

Anyone can help me?

Good point - I have not seen a Toshiba 2.5" 2TB disk drive...

Please give the history of this drive.

- Where & when did you buy it?
- Does it have a warranty from that supplier, to allow you to return the drive?
- How much data have you stored on it successfully?
- Why were you trying to format it - what problem happened before you decided to do that?
- In WinXP using the options (I think): Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager -> Disk Drives (or any other equivalent technique which you prefer), what disk drive model number is shown for this Toshiba drive?

I think it's a bit normal for non tech people.
They don't have idea of how much can be the capacity of a pen drive.
Also, they don't think much.
Here there is some wisdom words, something like this: When the alms (charity) is too much, the poor man always suspects.
