I have a western digital WD1502FYPS Enterprise Storage drive which after a reboot disappeared and never came back.

I drive itself will power on and spin as normal (no crazy sounds or anything) but will not show up in disk manager.

I followed directions from the noobie stickys to clean the contacts because they were slightly oxidized. Tested a couple of the diodes but I am not certain of what the exact values should be.

It is the exact same PCB that is found in this thread.

I think I have a separate problem however since it appears to be no physical problem with the drive itself.

Any help or things to test that anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

It seems SA/Heads problem, the problem not related to PCB anyway.
No DIY I'm afraid.

RMA if data is not important.Otherwise seek for a pro for help if data is important.

Good luck

I would check first if drive is recognised in BIOS, then in disk utilities like HDAT2 beta, DMDE. Can you can read sectors? Yes: consider cloning the drive if you want data.
