I'm about to sell a couple of Samsung Spinpoint f3 HD103SJ HDDs.

What is the most optimal way of cleaning them of my data before selling them?

Use MHDD and select Erase/Fasterase.
All your data will be lost/removed

Security erase (fasterase with drive locked) will do it for you. It will take more than 3 hours on each drive.
