So, I have been trying to find out how to recreate the ROM on the new pcb...what I have to do. With no luck so far. Could anyone give me some basic guidelines, or a link or a video or something, on which is the way to go? What software I need, and what steps I need to follow to modify the firmware on the new pcb to work with the drive?
As I understand it, i have to "try to rebuild the ROM image using the SA modules and write it back into the ROM", but I have no idea on how to do that.
Thanks in advance for understanding, it's my first time attempting to do something like that and I don't want to mess it up.

In that case, it's advisable to contact a datarecovery expert.

Either use something like WDR full version, go to "flash operations" press "Repair" and if all is OK on the log press "Write", or send the drive and PCB to someone who can do that for you.

OK, I think I can try that. I connect the drive to a SATA port like I would normally, right?
