OK - in order to try to put that error log into context, I need 3 things:

a) the full current output from smartctl -x (redirect it into a file and attach the file to your reply, rather than including the text itself within the reply, as it's likely to be quite long).

b) what is your best estimate for the number of power-on hours for that drive, between when your gf unplugged the drive (and, perhaps, caused the problem), and the time when you collect the smartctl output which you provide for point (a) above?

c) what is the program you are using, which is giving reports like "100.0% good sectors", "healthy smart status", "when i checked smart for errors, it returned 3"? Please supply the current output from this program, so that we can check for consistency with the smartctl data.

I'll then review those 3 sets of data (obviously the more detailed / accurate they are, the better any review can be), and suggest what I can.

P.S. Are you really, really sure :) that you have recovered everything you need from this drive, and the files are valid & usable? Are you sure that you don't want to follow the earlier advice and make a full raw clone of this drive onto other media, in case you want to re-visit this in future?
