Dear all,

I just tried to find out what's wrong with my seagate drive.
Could anybody say what I have done wrong.
At first I got this noise.

It sounded quite terrible.
So I opened the drive and have seen a lot of smudge on the platters.

Would it be possible to still get the data there?

Hm, that doesn't sound fantastic. But what would do a professional company? Would they be able to do something here.
I think the platters could be cleaned, couldn't it?

This isn't a motionless body, this isn't a corpse, this is a bare skeleton, unfortunately.

P.S.
Reminds me of a drive we saw sometime ago with its heads stuck, when the client decided "to think more and probably try other options first" and went to an electronics market, where "master" left their drive for 2 or 3 days with HDD Regenerator running.
Situation was quite similar when they visited us for the second time.
