I have a new laptop acer v3-571g . Problem im having is with the HDD. Whenever i use the laptop regularly it works fine and is really fast and smooth. But if i launch a setup . For example install a game or another program. The hdd activity goes abnormal and the laptop almost goes into a complete halt . Here are some screens:

its just so not constant , my pc doesn't do that, the activity doesn't jump up and down. If it goes 100% it's just a constant line. But this laptop hdd, is somewhat weird. Can anyone shed some light on this subject?

hello,
post a little bit more details.
OS, disk model
Is any difference if you run setup from CD/DVD or directly from drive?

Windows 7 64-bit
750GB 5,400-rpm drive , cant say the model, because don't know a way of telling what model drive it is without opening the case, but that will void warranty.
I have not tried running from cd/dvd , i will test it when i can.
