Hey,

not new to data recovery but new to the head replacement part.

i got 2 hdd's one samsung MP0402h and a SG st9320325AS.
now i read alot about how to do it and i even got the tools for it. but i seem to be running into problems.
for donors i use the following matching table

Quote:
Seagate

Full Model Number. Example: ST9640320AS, ST31000528AS
Site Code. Example: TK, AMK, KRATSG, WUXISG
Full part number or first 3 characters in serial number. Example: 9Y7389-301, 9JU138-302, 5MA84KC2, 9ND29XWG

Quote:
Full Model Number. Example: HA250JC, HM120JI, SV0602H
Bar Code Side. Example: V6060, P/V FS, T166C
Firmware (could be missing). Example: ZH100-34, HH100-10

After replacing the heads they both still seem to be clicking.

after i place the heads back into there donors the donors work fine, this to me seems that how i replace the heads seems to be correct.

can anyone comfirm that the matching tables i use are correct and maybe have some tips for me.

thanks in advance

Have you tried the patient heads into the donors?

The heads could be incompatible.

Esp. for the Seagate drive, your guide misses the most important parameter, esp. for your model.
