Hello,

Does anyone know here are the SATA Tx/Rx situated in the Samsung HN-M500XBB? Is there a way to solder a SATA cable to access bypass the USB Bridge?

Adapt to SATA. Will have much better control of the drive, plus terminal access.

Can you tell us the fault with the original PCB?

These PCBs appear to suffer from dry solder joints at the inductor in the 5V feed to the bridge IC's supply. If that is your problem, then reflowing the solder around this component may be all that you need to do.

Otherwise, here are the SATA Tx/Rx pairs and my guess as to the RS232 terminal connection points.

Hello

Many thanks for your time and for you help.

The customer told me that he plugged the drive and left it for hours, then drive was recognized and could copy 1% from the drive!!!!

Now, when I connect it, it try to rotate but with difficulty. I want to bypass the USB bridge to connect it to PC3K and try to see what it shows me.

Try to find a SATA PCB with the same MCU (88i9322-TFJ2) and motor controller (TLS2602 ?), and then transfer the "ROM" contents.

Could a BF41-00354A be a suitable SATA PCB?
