One of My HDd pcb's 5 volt diode burned , so I am tried to replace the diode, in the diode replacing process some other components like 0ohm ressistors comes faulty , so I am decided to replace the PCB , after some days I got the same model HDD , but P/no mismatched ,
But I am swaped PCB with that board , (I know bios chip also swaped) ,
.
Now HDD detected but showing 165Gb
HDD capacity is 1TB ,,

Details :
Patient : ST1000DM003 , 1ER162-301,with cc45 firmware

Donor: ST1000DM003, 1ER162-501, with cc45 firmware

Q:- part number mismatch will cause MB size???

for PCB replacement, the PN doesn't matter, the PCB printed number does (of course you'll need to transfer the ROM chip)
can you upload the terminal log ?

I think Besides Same family PCB revision is crucial for pcb match

PCB number has to match, revision is not always necessary but if it's the same the better, check the soldering of the ROM chip under a microscope if possible, just remember that if you burn it you can say bye to the data.
