I have seagate 2 tb harddisk ST2000DM001 model harddisk ,firmware cc25.It spins for fewseconds before i enter the bios and stops spinning. No obnormal noises. When i see the bios the harisk is detected as ST2000DM001,Ccpacity 136 gb,cylinder 65535 , head 16 precomp 0 landing zone 65534 sector 255.
The hardisk is not detected by the os if i put as a secondary also.

"stops spinning" ..... "no abnormal noises"

Which is it?

The sound of drive spinning down would be abnormal.

Almost certainly bad heads, but as "jermy" says post a terminal log.
