System Powered OFF during Hard Disk Full Format

May 31st, 2016, 5:39

Hi all,

My Lenovo L410 laptop got switched off while executing Format in one of the drive F: (it has four drives).

After that it is not getting booted..it stops with the screen reading Smart failure predicted and press F1 to continue..With F1 it is not progressing..

I have put the harddisk on external case and removed all partition and created new partition..

Nothing has changed ..The hard disk has been detected in BIOS and the hard disk is fully accessible using external case..But when i put in the Laptop Slot it is not booting and it is not allowing me to even boot from the CD.

Please help with some clues to solve the problem !

Thanks in advance..

I suspect your L410 has one drive with 4 partitions and that your harddrive has SMART errors.
Connect your harddrive directly a pc SATA connector and check SMART status with Crystal disk info or some other tool.
If errors - get your data out if needed and get a new drive.

Maybe your full format has "discovered" errors on your drive resulting in SMART errors.
