after going through lawsuite posts , One important point for those who oppose use of refurbished drives ---

Everyone know how buggy and defectice certain hard disks are. Even if you use brand new hard disk ----

1) What is gurantee that brand new hard disk you are using is not having any firmware defect ? ( 7200.11/ 7200.12 / 7200.14 .........many more
2) If even new hard disks cannot be gurnateed for reliable operation , why to bother for refurnished one

What is difference between Hitachi plain classic and HGST. ( there is even HGST Travelstar)

All HGST models are super flop . Design is so odd thin type. I am sure head transplant on these drives will give worst results.

is hitachi traverstar ( HTS models) is different manufactuerer than HGST.
classic HGST seems to be highly reliable drives. (5400 RPM only)
Can someone pls. throw light om this.
