Hi. I tried to fix my maxtor with pc3000 but it doesnt recognize it. PCB is ok. Its 160 Gb on ardent chip, does pc3000 support it ? I tried Poker (my hdd shows calypo) but no results. Is there any soft supporting ardent chip ??

- sorry but i have only 14.00 and don't know Ardent chips
- only Calipso, Falcon, N40p, AREs, Vulcan, Romulus, Athena, Nike, Rigel, Proxima, uff ...

What's wrong with your maxtor? pc3k supports this chipset, but it doesn't support drives over 137GB. it's LBA28.
I found that pc3k supports WD drives up to 200GB, so depending on the problem you have with your drive, you might be able to fix it.

This is not chip, the CHIP that "sqlab" refere here is the processor of the PCB, and this that you wrote are the ID of Maxtors ( to let it simple )
And yes yes yes, there is an ARDENT processor in MAXTORS Disk Drivers / Hard Disks / Hard Discs / Windeschesters etc.
