Burnt PCB board
Will swapping a working board in cause any kind of data corruption?

If preamp is burnt you can damage the data, so it must be sorted out before pcb swap.

Motor driver IC. In this case you can get burnt preampifier or heads on the platters.
HSA shield with contacts - check voltage pins, at least, before using donor PCB. If it has no short circuit with common point or have no a very small resistance bidirectionally - it is good sign.

Are you sure about your voltage test points? They seem like signal pins to me.

I would have guessed that the LC filters (?) would be in the supply paths.

You are right, it's my fault, I'd put a picture for M8 family, but this is a M7E family.
