March 5th, 2005, 19:49

Hi Every body this is my first mail..

I have tried this utility but it seems that it does not recognize my HD . It simple says

MHDD for every command...
Drive not Ready !

Boot Screen says ATAPI Incompatible

I am intermediate in recovering hard disks. kindly tell me how to recover files from 17.2 GB Seagate Hard Drive. I have been trying for months no it. But i simply not able to retreive anything... :x

There is no such cabling fault..

Dont know what else to do. :?
Any help suggestions, would be appreciated... Really dont want to waste my assignments and other important data on Damage Disk..

Dmitry_Postrigan . Need some knowledge on this matter from You

Cheers.

Have you tried to manually enter the CHS values in bios ?
Did you put it as secondary master / slave ?
Do you have a HD or cdrom attached to the same IDE cable ?
What does the status register . error register say on top of the screen when using mhdd ?
Tried it on another motherboard ?

Sorry for that many questions, This is just as a reminder .......

I know you are expecting a reply from the Master Hard Disk Dmitry (MHDD), i hope he will reply soon.

For all of us that's diffcult to repair seagate hdd. If it can't recoginzed by MHDD, you can try with some com command .At first you should have com cable and have a try . may be it's useful but i'm not sure.

As far as I know warranty does not include recovering your data from old hdd, only exchange it with new one.
