Seagate 7200.12 refurbished recovery

For entire week we are struggling with one refurbished seagate Pharoh family disk (7200.12 /320gb)
It gets detected normally with different model /sn/fw no. and tends to be busy all the time (refurbed model name).
Translator recovery is not been able to possible despite all efforts.
Can someone pls.guide , I can give remote access to UDMA-E , refurbed drives are not fully supported by utility.

IMHO you have no diagnostic overlays on it. Or they are not compatible with ROM. You need to change the firmware version to the stock one on it and fill in the necessary overlays. This, of course, if the writing heads is alive.

You must be having quite a lot expertise to deal with such complications
Unfortunately I have done procedure you have described , however heads seems to be in working condition though I cant check resistance .

WO you are great E123 , I just wrote your rom and now can read SA like normal hard disk. I have got full sector access & getting good imaging speed (heads are ok). But fight is not over yet , I am not able to read MFT's of any partition and getting read errors.
Further work on defect list / translator might be needed.

With precise rom from E123 ,this case has been declared 100% solved. I have established full access to data .

hello E123 what was the issue , how you have solved the case. Have you modified original native ROM ?
otherwise how different rom is matched without apatives ?

terminator2, Nothing special. Adaptives from refarbed flash I placed in a flash from the stock CC49.
