WD20SDRW-11VUUS0 my passport external recovery

Module 190 damaged, at least copy 0 and copy 1 doesn't seem to help. Everything being read as 0

Using PBA I can see sectors have contents and I have tried using decryption and no decryption but a RAW recovery is still not showing any results.

Head test says heads are fine but for some reason I cant build a headmap(due to module 190?) but I am getting some areas that are not readable sometimes with "unknown error code 5193" and sometimes with "DM sector out of range". but most of it is reading. Not sure if this is due to PBA reading.

First one I have tried this with. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Ah! That will explain that then! I will have to discuss with client what his budget is in that case!

Thanks

Been having a look and data in hex is same whether decryption is enabled on not. Maybe a bug is the reason we can't find any data in RAW for encrypted drives.

it's normal for the way PC3K reads the drive

It's not a bug, you just can't recover encrypted drives with PC3K using "Reading by PBA" method. It's not possible.
