Since i had previous read errors on this hard disk (HTS541010A9E680), i tried to backup the content, but it stopped copying and became completely unreadable.
The disk is not detected at all by the UEFI, in any computer and environment, bot via USB or SATA directly, although it spins.
I'd like to identify the nature of the fault, so i can try some desperate fix attempt (YES, i already know it's very unlikely i can get my data back unless i rely on professional lab, but i'm not going to afford the expense and i don't mind to waste it, so it's worth a try).
Here is a sound file in which you can hear the spinning sound and the head sound: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0xyio7rdfb3n5 ... 2.MP3?dl=0

THANKS!

Heads can read at least, but might be weak. Another case that will be very hard without pro tools.
You might pause PC booting until this slight clicking stops (it is trying to read some area of the SA which it cannot), then see if it is detected or if Linux can detect it.
I don't recommend trying it from under Windows, coz it will almost surely hang in retry loops.

pause it at the POST screen for example. Does the head activity stop in a few minutes?

There are several threads on this forum dealing with similar issues, so you can get an idea how to approach such an issue. But, since the disk died on you while backing it up, i do think it is not 'just' bad sectors here and there, rather some more significant surface problem that already killed one or more heads during that process. So you are free to try whatever you read here or elsewhere, but i won't hold your hand throughout the process, mainly because the tools and methods i would use they would give result in a few hours, while your process seems like an endless war.
