Bad-sectors in MediaCache, and probably in some other modules as well. You can try to catch drive by shortening the read channel.

If the data on it is valuable to you, DO NOT open the lid, DO NOT play with it DO NOT send commands to it
As a matter of fact do nothing except than sending it to a DR pro I repeat a DATA RECOVERY PROFESSIONAL ONLY (not to a computer repair shop/computer tech).

I don't have any important information on it,I buy this hdd because I want to unlock it and sell,I have ttl adapter and when I connect this hdd on it and start terminal hdd send me this message.And when I run script hdd send me "COMMUNICATION PROBLEM.SCRIPT STOP

It is a Seagate, DM Series, and has already presented problems.

Just dump it, or sell as defective/for parts. Any "cosmetic" thing done to it would be just a scam.

The issue affecting one Seagate hard disk that shows vvvvvvvvvv in terminal is pretty common, at least at our labs

The drive goes DRD DSC at first sight, but then if you try to read ID, also the BSY LED turns on

while the terminal outputs many rows of strings and vvvvvvvvvv
