Hi Roberto,

I eventually type a wrong password (twice) when setting up a password on my WD My Passport 4TB external HDD. Now I cannot access it using the password that is known to me as I might have misplaces my hands on the keyboard when setting up the password.
I've read about your WD decryption program in your previous posts and I'm interested in buying a program from you or your service to decrypt the HDD.

Please PM or email me kittanu@gmail.com, I really need you assistance.

Best Regards,
StepOriginal

In some cultures, jealous comments also count as positive feedback.

Besides, yes, you must have overlooked something :-p

Hi Roberto, can you PM me so I can send you my email or modules so you can let me know if you are able to decrypt my drive? Mine uses an initio 1607e.

Hoped to find a list of Bridge-P/N for Encrypted WD My Books

I need at least the following I believe ...
JMS538S by JMicron
SW6316 by Symwave
INIC-1607E by Initio
OXUF943SE by PLX Tech

But a list in which you can provide a list of PCB part numbers etc for each type of encryption; ie:

Initio - INIC-1607E
- 4060-705059-001 Rev A
- 4061-705059-001 Rev AE
(it's from an ifixit picture, so it's not 100%)

EDITABLE Google Sheet: https://bit.ly/3DPlfxv

I'll transcribe accurate updates to the uneditable version.

Looks like im late to the "game" but yea, my problem is that I have an WD My Passport 2TB encrypted with WD encryption. I have set a password hint, but still I cant remember. The disk had auto unlock activated on my computer, but after upgrading from Win10 to Win11, im asked for my password. I have tested around 80 passwords/variations, but still no sigar.

Talked to a data recovery company and they told me they could have a look and they could fix it... For around 2000 EUR! The encrytion is 256-AES. I see that there are some options of getting out some data and finding the key? But how? I have tested multiple recovery softwares, but none give me any access to the drive, they only se the drive as connected, but cant find anything on the drive.

What to do and where to start?
